On Wednesday, January 8th 2003, my dad was given a second chance to live by a generous donor. A couple of weeks prior, he had asked me to write a song for the family who would be grieving the loss of a loved one. The emotions were bittersweet that day. I was rejoicing that ye dad’s life had been saved, yet felt a profound sense of sorrow for the family I knew somewhere was hurting over their loss. Traces of Memoris is for that person. For their family. A simple, insufficient thank you.
Jaytee
While in Minnesota during Christmas time, we spent many days at the hospital. In of the hospital buildings there was a piano for the people to play. I played Jaytee several times over the course of the week.
Silent night
This was another song I played while spending time at the hospital. On Christmas Eve, m y dad was allowed to leave the hospital and spend a few hours at home before having to return . Each family member shared a talent. I played this song. I will always remember this time when I hear Silent Night.
