The Bells at BYU Maybe if you live around the BYU campus it’s possible to take the carillon bell tower for granted. But when you come back, it’s the music of the bells that calls up those warm BYU memories. Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the BYU bell tower, carillonneur Don Cook has put together a magical CD. Included is a rare collection of carillon photos along with full, explanatory program notes by Dr. Cook.
Review:
Today I heard this cd witch a friend bought for me. I was surprised by the beautiful recordings on it. Don Cook is a fantastic carillon player! I can't hear he is organist; something what you can hear with most carilloneurs who are organist too. He makes beautiful piano and forte on his bells; excellent!. This cd is the best American carillon cd I ever heard. And I listened to a lot of American players I can tell you. Mr Cook should be very welcome to play in Belgium and the Netherlands. Congratulations with such a beautiful result as this cd is! Except the first two track’s which are awfull arrangements this cd is my thing. Most of the arrangements are great!
