Hymns of Faith, Volume I, is a collaboration between Jay Richards and Karla Axtell. Jay, a seasoned music industry professional, is in demand as a composer, arranger, performer, and producer. His orchestral works have been performed worldwide. Jay has a great gift of charming the listener with commanding yet subtle whisperings of the spirit.

Karla Axtell, pianist, has a great love for the Hymns. “I have absolutely loved creating this album of LDS hymn arrangements with Jay Richards. What an overwhelming joy to blend the very essence of music and text with orchestra and piano. It is a legacy that I can leave my children and grandchildren throughout all time.”

Karla has studied and taught piano, accompanied the Cache Children’s Cantate Choir, and accompanied for numerous community events and soloists. She is currently the rehearsal accompanist for the American Festival Chorus under the direction of Craig Jessop.. She has also recorded two classical piano CD’s, “Quiet Garden” and “Intermezzo”.
