Lara was born in NY to a Russian father and Venezuelan mother. Both immigrants. She began dancing at 3 and doing theater by the 5th grade. She has always loved to sing and perform. At 13 her family moved to CA where her father opened The Piano Shop. She auditioned for "Cinderella" at a performing arts center and got the lead role. The family that ran the center were LDS. She auditioned for a musical they had written called "The Light Express" which was about life and the Plan of Happiness. During one of the performances she had a spiritual experience which made her inquire about their church and she soon began taking the missionary discussions. She gained a personal, and firm testimony and at 16 was baptized. The only member in her family. She later met and married her Eternal Companion and was sealed in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. They moved to Utah and started their family. She has taught piano and voice, been in over 25 musicals, sung in a band and show choirs including The Young Americans. She has recorded on several albums and worked with Bryce Neubert and Jenny Phillips. She loves the Gospel and her greatest desire is to share her testimony through music in a way that people will feel and recognize the Spirit and come unto Christ.
