Rex Bushman grew up in Las Vegas, actually trained to be a popular music entertainer, singing and playing guitar, piano and organ. Rex received a scholarship on jazz piano to UNLV and stopped school to tour and entertain U. S. troops in Asia during the Vietnam war. Upon return Rex began working in hotels on the Las Vegas, Reno, Lake Tahoe hotel circuit. Rex contracted the significant illness of manic depression and thereafter decided to leave the night life and return to school obtaining an accounting degree at UNLV and was accepted to attend law school at BYU. During these education years Rex paid for his schooling by performing as a rock musician for youth dances. Rex's musical interests included religious music and Rex recorded several primary songs CD's that were sold at Deseret Book after Rex became a Salt Lake City attorney. Rex sang with the Tabernacle Choir and went on the Eastern European and Russia tour. Rex has recorded two country albums of his original music in Nashville and since then has written many
new LDS vocal solos. Rex practices law in Salt Lake City and continues to write and record as time permits.
