MARLENE RAPER

Marlene Raper was born in Canada; she trained vocally as a Coloratura Soprano, and has been a soprano soloist in Oratorio productions including Handel's Messiah. Marlene has been writing music since she was a child and sang with her Fathers band in her teenage and adult years. Marlene wrote the song "I Will Feast on the Words of Christ", which was featured in the Book "Experiment Upon the Word", written by Joyce Pugh, this book was a top seller in the LDS bookstores in 1995. Marlene has written music for an instrumental soundtrack, which was used in a documentary movie presentation for the book “Lucy Shook's Letters from Afghanistan.” This book is by Terry Gifford, founder of the Swan foundation and her sister Ruth and her Mother, Deseret Book Author Liz Adair.

Marlene’s song titled “Thank You for Being in My Life” is featured on an up and coming album for the non profit organization, Artists for the Cure. The proceeds from the sales of this album will be used to help cancer patients.

Marlene’s Album, “My Redeemer,” was produced by Roger Hoffman, these original songs bring the hope and assurance of the healing power of Jesus Christ to life, his comfort and healing power are real and is a gift to all who seek it.

Marlene is currently working on an album of original songs titled, “Forever.” The songs on this album are meant to encourage positive marriage and family relationships that are meant to be forever, and to give comfort and hope in difficult times and encouragement to not give up there is so much to give and to be thankful for this day.

Marlene currently lives in Bellingham, Washington with her husband Scott and their daughter Alea.
