Jessie Clark grew up in Provo, Utah where she was involved in voice lessons, dance, teaching voice and dance, and her family. At fourteen she signed a recording contract with an independent affiliate label of Sony Records, located in Orlando, Florida. After four months of doing what the world told her would make her happy she realized that maybe fame and notoriety weren't all they were cracked up to be and she chose to go back to Utah. Jessie spent the fall and winter of 2002/2003 on a 26 state tour of the country with the national touring company of the hit Broadway show Footloose. She loves recording and performing music that touches people; music that is an instrument to our Father in Heaven. Jessie was featured on the 2003 EFY CD, Look and Live, singing Our Savior’s Love and on the 2005 EFY CD, A More Excellent Way singing Worthy to Stand. Jessie’s debut inspirational CD entitled Clay In His Hands was released in August 2003 and was the recipient of four Pearl Awards from the Faith Centered Music Association and a Listeners Choice Award by the LDS Booksellers Association. Her second CD, Better Than I was released August 2005. Jessie loves performing and speaking, especially to the youth. Jessie was married May of 2004 to songwriter, arranger and producer Jim Funk. She currently attends Utah Valley State College where she is a multimedia major emphasizing in sound engineering and film. Jessie, Jim and their daughter Janessa make their home in Kaysville, Utah.
